In a hearing on February 24th, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke out for the first time about the ongoing LRA violence after being questioned by Senator Russ Feingold, the chief author of the LRA Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act.
"I have been following the Lords Resistance Army for more than 15 years. I just dont understand why we cannot end this scourge. And were going to do everything we can to provide support we believe will enable us to do that," the Secretary said.She confirmed United States support for ongoing military operations but offered no specifics on how the Obama Administration would seek to end ongoing LRA atrocities.
