Today we look at an amazing concept called Tell Your Phone which was invented by Harlech resident Mark Aldiss.
From the early days of the Internet and computing boom Mark became aware of a unique opportunity that doesn’t exist yet to use the humble phone, via modern computing technology, to assist you and find solutions to any given situation. To clarify, Mark says on his website “Our advanced technology listens – and reacts in real time to the words, sentences, phrases, emotions that you add in and it gets to work. Depending on what you have said our technology directs it’s energy to helping you in any way it can, or in any way you have asked for. A simple question could get a simple answer spoken back to you, a more complex question gets a longer verbal, text or email reply”.
The possibilities are endless, and Mark feels it would be a smart way to deal with all manner of things from general information dissemination to helping us handle our emotions.
The more you use the system, the more of a personal profile the system builds on you, and using interactive technology and the power of computing, it can help you in situations including profiling you for your own benefit, providing answers to health issues, disputes, arbitration and concilliation, legal issues, family history, work issues, pleasure, finances, match making and the ‘baggage’ that many of us carry in terms of historic personal problems.
But what about issues of security. Can such a system be provided that is secure? After all, you wouldn’t want just anyone hacking into your personal profile especially as it carries such immense personal detail about you. Mark says that the system will employ robust and proven security, and that it would be your voice that controls this. Each persons unique voice pattern has what is known as a biometric measurement which you can use as a universal key to the system, just by talking.
The system Mark has realised could be the next big issue in terms of social equity and he’s looking for interested partners to take the concept to the next level. Mark himself is a computing systems genius but realises for a project of this size and depth he would need some considerable help.
